Well, seriously, I don't do it because I have to. I do it because I want to. A fully charged battery helps. And honestly, that's about it. I know it sounds simple and terse, but I can't say it any better than that. I have enough rules in my life. I don't want them to invade my time and creativity, so I don't make it a rule.
@moncooga "fully charged battery" *laughs like a crazy person* yep, yep they do, and now I can charge mine since I just found the charger today (and got one mailed to me O.O see my photo for Jan 10)
@missfreako have to admit, I'm having a little trouble today, it's raining (again!) and there are only so many photos of rain you can take.
Lately I've been trying to figure out HDR a bit, but since I only have photoshop I've not been too successful.
@Neda Lundie 'Least you have two now, right? Harder to lose. ;D I agree 100% about the rain. I specifically waited 'til the "rainy season" ended to start my project.
I agree with Chris. It is just something fun to do. I don't think of it as a chore but as something to break the sometimes mundane tasks of going to work, going to school, and the rest of the daily routine. It gives me an excuse to take a different way home from work, keep my eyes open when I am driving, and just strengthen my imagination when I would otherwise just sit around or waste time doing nothing.
@neda I cannot tell you how many times I have gone out with just the one camera. And it is the one camera that I forgot to charge the behemoth battery that powers it. Hence, I now drag my old Pentax K1000 around loaded with film too, as it is mechanical.
Taking a photo a day is one of my New Year resolutions. Sometimes, taking a photo a day starts to feel like work instead of play. This is when I start taking pictures of things in nature. My goal for this month is to take some good bird photos for birthday gifts for my brother and his wife. Both of them have February birthdays. Motivation!
I just love to take photo's and share them with everyone else! Sometimes when I'm uninspired, I'll browse around on this site and look at all the awesome perspectives and idea's that people have come up with. That usually gives me a ton of new ideas to try out. It's also so much fun to take pictures with friends or family who enjoy photography as well!! :)
