I haven't been around much lately as epic computer fails have prevented me from uploading but i am still taking the shots...
Anyway, i have been contacted on Facebook and have someone asking to buy one of my photos from a rave i was at. I have no idea what to charge as i dont think the photo is that great anyway. I also don't know what the deal is with "rights" as a buyer and a photographer.
Well there are no 'rules' Generally, I prefer to give a physical copy of the image, the photographer retains the rights unless they are specificly sold. Generally you pay for one copy and you pay one price... I would say between $10 and $1000 for one image... if that seems too steep you are basically just giving away the image... which is fine too... digital photo.. maybe $5. Technically they can use it for one thing... say they facebook page... likely they will use it for anything and everything if you give them the file... advertising for Rave's ect...
