Having problems with my focusing on my canon 500d. I have used it all day today, and all has been fine. Got it out tonight to have a play about, and when i look through the lens and the camera focuses (AF), it looks blurry. I take the photo and it is fine???
Help, I have washed my eyes, thinking maybe it was just my eyesight, cleaned the viewfinder.
It is happening with all my lenses :( it was working fine earlier, and I took it out the bag from last time I used it and used it again (without changing lens), so don't think the body has got dirty on the inside, surely i would have noticed if i had touched the sensor or anything :(
oh when you look through it... my bad... did you try the little wheel on the viewfinder... tune it a bit... it is for correction so you can use the view finder without glasses...
Glad you figured it out. I thought it might be the diopter. When I first got my SLR camera, I took it back to the store because it wouldn't focus....*sigh* I felt like an idiot when the clerk showed me the adjuster. Must have bumped it somehow. Now I see that all my cameras have this adjuster.
thank you , it was the dipoter, i just checked again and my eye was still the same, so adjusted that and it worked! that will teach me for letting my son pick my camera up, saved me an embarrassing moment in jessops or specsavers lol

when you shoot do you keep both eyes open? If you close on... it work VERY hard and can dry out... as it will not blink as much...
