365 Project - Photo Album Storage?

January 28th, 2011
I wasn't able to find a topic previously posted like this.

With January 2011 coming to a close (I started my project this year on January 1st) - I want to actually store my project in a photo album of sorts. I don't want to get too overwhelmed, so I'm going to have them printed on a monthly basis. Has anyone stored an entire years worth of photographs in a single album? Does such a creature exist? =)

I want something with high quality archival purpose and am wondering what everyone else utilizes?

Are you looking for some sort of online archival system or just on your computer?

Personally, I just use my computer and Lightroom. My catalog consists of thousands of images, 25MB raw files + 5MB jpgs of each and I just organize them through that.

If you don't want to do it on your own computer, you could also create monthly albums (sets) on Flickr and upload all of your high-res images there. Of course, you'd have to upgrade to a pro account to get an entire year's worth.

I copy everything from 365 to one folder on my external hard drive. I also plan to make a book on Shutterfly . . .

I just save mine on my computer and I will put it on a flash drive. You could get a digital frame and display your pictures that way in your home.

I couldn't live without smugmug.com
529.24 GB of images backed up online (great if the house ever burns down!)

i use lightroom 3, create a folder for 365project, then i have a folder for the low res version that i load up daily

You say you would like print them on a monthly basis - "Snapfish" is an online program where you can order photo-books by uploading your images and ordering them. You can also add text. I have used them for travel albums. There may be cheaper options, but the quality and service was excellent.

Sorry, you guys!! I wasn't clear... =(

I do save them digitally on my hard drive and have them broken down by folders. But what I'm referring to is a physical photo album. An actual album that I can hold in my hands and share with family and friends who stop over.

I've been looking online and I haven't found anything large enough to hold 365 photos. I basically want to get this entire year worth of photos into a single photo album. I want high quality pages though that I can put 4x6 prints in with decent archival quality so the photos won't get ruined over time.

Does anything like this exist that would hold this many photos?
