I ordered a fish eye lens for my canon powershot. Which is only a regular digital, nothing fancy. Do you think it will actually work well? Any experience with lenses for your p&s?
@kissmycoffin ahh i see :P depends if it is a good quality one or not, but it should be fine, if its dodgy you may get alot of vignette on the edges, and chromatic aberration, but really unless you want an absolutely 100% perfect photo it should do just fine
@kissmycoffin hey, my boyfriend uses this fish eye on the end of his powershot, it cost absolutely nothing and works quite well! I'm too poor to afford a real fisheye for my SLR and I've taken to bunging his on to the end of my lens (obviously it doesn't screw on) and doesn't turn out too bad!
this pic was taken with my camera (as I said it doesn't screw on, hence why you can see so much border) I'll see if i can find one taken with his powershot
@lil I've got one of those cheap adaptors too, with a set of rings to allow it to fit a variety of lens filter threads, so I can use it with my D60, OM10 and Holga. Nothing like a proper fisheye lens, but good fun all the same, and I've used it 'held' over the lens of my p&s, result can be a bit sketchy tho. Works best with the SLRs - here's one from a few weeks ago!
