Hi Tracey, welcome to 365. All you have to do is upload a photo, preferably one a day. The Upload button is on the tool bar at the top of the page. You will be asked to confirm the date etc, it will then log it according to what you put. You can add some info about the photo if you wish. You might like to look at other people's photos and see how people comment on them and comment yourself on their photos. You can also follow people whose photos you like. You will also have people begin to follow you. Have fun.
Welcome to the club! There is a weekly theme at the bottom of the side menu thing on your homepage. There are really no "rules" to this site just take a picture a day and upload your best works. Personally when I go out shooting I end up with a few shots I like and I have a few images for a few days. I guess that's kinda cheating haha but I dont have time to get a photo every single day. Good luck with your project!

You can click the follow sign on every members album whom you think you really want his/her work, somebody will follow also follow your work. you can join the contest, you can comment and join discussion.
This site is very user friendly and every tab is very easy to access. Upload your creation and let others be inspired.
Take a photo a day and post. Join in the themes and competitions if you'd like by looking for discussions that relate to them and following the rules (there aren't many). If you're looking for comments on your photos the best way is by viewing photos on the site (either by looking at the daily photos posted, popular page or new faces sections) and finding some photos you really like and following that person. Also click on the people that follow those people and look at their photos - if you like them, follow them. Lots of times the person will follow you back (not always - especially with the really popular long-time people). Make comments on photos you like. Participate in discussions.
But most of all take photos you like, post what you like and try to take the best photo you can - all the rest just happens, eventually. (I hope). I'm new, too. And I don't get many comments. But don't get discouraged....the project is really yours.
No theme necessary - but you find you have things you like to photograph both in and out of the house. When you are short of time snap anything and then upload once a week.
The theme or competiton page will generally state the tag you need to add to your photo to connect it to the theme. The tag needs to match exactly or it won't be visible to the theme organizer. However, make sure the photo was shot and uploaded during the theme timespan. The theme page will tell you start and end dates which are usually the only dates you can take/submit a photo.
