Time help

February 26th, 2011
I just realized my clock is off on my camera--does anybody know how to change that?
I have a Nikon D40x.

I have a d90, should be the same. In the Setup Menu (the wrench) go to World TIme. Change time zone to ny/toronto/lima and turn daylight savings time on :)

Hope that helps!

@sevinstitches I checked the World Time, for some reason my time zone is off by an hour?? I switched to another time zone and now it matches my correct time. Very weird, apparently, I'm living one zone over and didn't even know it.

Have you got daylight savings right? As in, have you got it turned on on the computer when it's off in real life?

Given that it's only one hour it'll most likely be down to daylight savings @clarissajohal so try toggling that on/off/auto and see if it sorts it.

@clarissajohal That's so strange. I am guessing it has something to do with daylight savings time, but if it's on, then I don't know what's going on :) Maybe a poltergeist in your camera?

@wormentude @eyebrows @sevinstitches It may have to do with the computer chip in the camera or something--I'll chalk it up to daylight savings, yes. I do have that function turned on now.
Lol, Amanda, if it's a poltergeist, maybe I need to give him a name. And if my photos start turning out bizarre--you'll know he didn't like the name I chose.
