I was fortunate in January to have this photo selected as the winner of the "Hope" weekly contest. More importantly, the girl in this picture is mu friend, 6 year old Kodi, who is suffering from neuroblastoma. Our families met as strangers here in San Francisco, while she was undergoing specialized therapy, and we parted as friends as they headed back to Texas to continue treatment (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/koditutt). When we spent our time together, I was stunned to find out how little money child cancer research receives, when compared to other forms of the disease. So.....I am raising funds through the Saint Baldrick's Foundation, by shaving my head this Sunday (3/6/11) at an event where a few medics and firefighters will be doing the same. I would love to be the top fundraiser at this event and hope that if you can, and have a moment, visit my webpage at http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/arthsieh and donate a few bucks. There will be pictures of course, and I'll get to show off my newly shorn head! (Mothers, cover your children's eyes now!) Thanks so very much in advance!
