What I did not tell you in my description was that I was feeling very melancholy about my photos. This shot was an 11th hour, I took nothing in focus today so I have got to get something I can post and be proud of. Looking back on my project I was feeling like I was losing steam. I am approaching 100 days and yesterday I was not feeling love between myself and my camera.
Then today one of my kind followers told me I made the popular page. Just to be clear, I do not take photos or participate here in hopes to make the popular page. I enjoy, no, LOVE, the popular page and understand that it is an honor and I am in awe of people who make it repeatedly. My point is that I made the PP for the very first time since I started, on a day when I really needed it the most. Seeing my photo there really picked up my spirits and is going to get me through to my 100th day plus another 100!
So, thank you! Magic monkeys, followers, other 365ers. This community is nothing but AWESOME!
Congrats on making the PP! As a one-timer myself I understand how exciting it is to find yourself there :) It's funny, because my shot was very similar: right before bedtime I realized I hadn't taken anything for the day and just really took about a dozen shots of my daughter jumping on her bed . . . definitely wasn't trying for anything big. Seems like that is the way it happens for me - they quickie shots are the ones that get the most views and comments. The ones I agonize over and plan seem to be overlooked. I just never know what will appeal to people.
This photo is popping with color, the composition is fantastic! It deserved nothing less than the popular page! Congratulations, and I'm glad it came when it did!
I love this shot and the rest of your pics are awesome too (that's why I am following you ;) But I know what you mean about losing steam. Keep up the good work and congrats on the PP.
Congratulations....it's an adorable photo. I think we all have times like that. And it is so nice to come on here and hear the encouraging words of fellow photographers. You are doing a fantastic project.....keep at it. !! :-)
Congratulations Amanda, it is well deserved with this photo. I know what you mean about losing steam - you're not not alone. It's amazing how one thing can give you the much needed boost that you need to keep at it.
@chamrick Thanks! Yes, I remember that shot of your daughter. It was pretty incredible :) Funny how that happens, huh?
