Exif info exporting Lightroom / Photoshop

April 25th, 2023
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone can help. When exporting photos from Lightroom or Photoshop the exif info disappears. And now seems to be a problem especially when uploading to Flickr groups as they need to see that it was taken within the time frame,

Is there a way I can export the photo within Lightroom or Photoshop - saving the exif with the image?
As it seems to be with the photo in the days before using Lightroom and photoshop, when looked back on Flickr. Haven't noticed until now, but one group is been practically fussy.

Hope someone can help solve the issue.
Thank you.

I'm not sure if this helps, but when I use the export in Lightroom I have my Metadata area set to include all Metadata. I then checked the boxes underneath to remove person information and location information. The Metadata box is just below the Output Sharpening. You may have to open the dialog by clicking on the arrow. You can try that to see if it works.

@aecasey Thank you so much I have just tried it and it works perfect. I will one day understand and get to grips with Lightroom but that's another new thing learnt today 🙂

@aecasey Hi April I'm sorry to be a nuisance it worked perfectly with Lightroom but is it possible to save the photo from Photoshop with the same exif info? As I have tried a few different options in Photoshop but I cannot seem to get the date the photo was taken and as much info as I do in Lightroom.

@bizziebeeme I'm sorry. I don't have any experience with Photoshop. I did find this video, though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBFuJXozOBk&ab_channel=NatalieRosella
It sounds like there is an option in the "export" "save for web" menu ... Good luck!

@aecasey Thank you, but I think Adobe take it that you are creating an image as it does not keep all original
EXIF. I’ll have to get to grips with cloning / healing in Lightroom. Thank you so much for your help.
