For those who have done the course - did you purchase the app and/or the workbook? If so, were you glad you did? Curious about what people's experience has been. Thanks!
I did!! I found the work books useful, and I wish I had printed off the photos as suggested throughout the course.
I was in the app, but since joined Emma's camera club, so no longer there. Have made good friends with AYWMC who are in camera club AND still use the app.
A supportive group, as friendly as 365, and I learnt loads!!
@ljmanning I did the course just before starting on 365 in 2016 as I knew nothing about photography. Bought the books and diligently did all the homework. It was fun and a huge learning curve for me.
Since then it has changed and I do not follow it anymore. There was no app when I started. I would highly reccomend it.
I purchased the app subscription for one year. I did not purchase the books. I did the homeworks as prompted in the app. I printed all the photos and kept all the homeworks in a dedicated copybook. I am not sure how much I have learned, but it definitely kept me using the camera. But I did not purchase a further subscription. From my pov, it is a very good starting point for a beginner.
@monikozi@ljmanning I certainly wasn't a beginner when I did AYWMC, but had little understanding. Must admit bits I skipped, landscape for one, I regret as still rubbish at that genre.
Best thing is can go at own pace, so 6 months or two years, your choice
@30pics4jackiesdiamond@ludwigsdiana@monikozi Thank you for your thoughts all. I have a bad habit of plunging into things with both feet and then ending up paying for stuff I don’t need. It’s helpful to know how others have approached it!
