A fellow 365er suggested that I start this discussion. Does anyone else have pets that will allow this nonsense?
I have managed to get some wacky photos of my rather compliant cat with just a kitty wrangler (that's what I call my lovely assistant, my 9-yr old daughter), some household props, a can of albacore tuna, and my twisted little imagination.
As you can see, my hands are not on the cat...I 'place' her how I want her, and then let go. If I need another shot, there's a tuna break and then I pose her again. Though sometimes being held is part of the work, like in this one.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from other 365's that like to take creative photos of their animals using props. If you search the tag "Stuff on my cat" you can see all of my photos of this type and some works from other 365ers.
My dog Max will tolerate wearing silly outfits, but he doesn't go any farther then that. I actually got a picture of him a few years ago in a shirt of mine that said trophy. haha
Lol! My dog is nowhere near that compliant. Every year I try and get a photo with him with reindeer antlers and it only takes him 5 seconds to shake them off!
@jessa I used to dress up my dog many years ago. I think that in general, it may be easier to clothe a dog. Though I think both dogs and cats hate to wear things on their heads.
I've never heard of a cat so willing to play along. You have such a good cat! My children think our Golden Lab is playmate. She is part of daily tea parties, dress up play, dance, sports play, and a lot more with the kids. My 5 year old has our dog dressed up (or at least wearing a necklace or feather boas) most of the day. I should try to capture more of that on camera. Here are the only two I have on 365.
You're presumably all aware of stuffonmycat.com ? :)
I don't live with my cat anymore sadly, but if I did, she definitely wouldn't stand for any of this nonsense. If I tried it she would give me the most withering look ever and I'd have to spend the rest of the day huddling in the corner and thinking about what I'd done.
However, here is a totally-not-posed-at-all lucky shot I got of my Grandmother's dog, Sammy, using my laptop...
Beauty and the Beast...
Ready for some football.

There is nothing more withering than a cat scowl.
I absolutely LOVE these pics, though, all of them! It makes me laugh :)
