Does anyone want to help me with some Flat Stanley!?!

I've got 3 Flat Stanley's on my desk right now. Can anyone give me some ideas of shots to take with them? We still have 2.5 feet of snow in our yard and more, of course, in the mountains so I can't take them up there. Yesterday I taped the Stanley's to popsicle sticks for skis and used skewers for poles. I've taken pictures of them with different "landmarks" and places. In fact I've arrested one of them for trespassing. The only other thing I've got is to have them climbing trees and getting attacked by squirrels or chipmunks but I need some more ideas.

Anyone, anyone?

Is it supposed to be an outside shot? Or does it matter?

Wow, you've done some cool stuff with them :)

getting into mischief in your kitchen because they're bored from being stuck inside? (climbing in the pantry, fridge, etc)

How about they build a Flat Stanley snowman?

I did mine in the spring, but I focused on the school he was coming from (inner city Dallas, low income) and tried to find positive role models I knew so the students could relate to the project/ Now FS did do quite a bit of sight seeing, but I called up my friends who were African-American doctors, politicians, attorneys, bankers and the like and took FS to their office or meetings so that the students could see positive role models for them in my own city. I also had FS ride the bus to work, go to a restaurant, visit some unique sites that they would not have in Dallas. My friend was the teacher and she was requested to present the project to the entire school board as a positive experience.

@brumbe

I'm using FS to open up educational opportunities. Like the tree he's climbing is a tree that is native to our area and they wouldn't have in their area, or since we're actually on the Lewis & Clark trail I've done some stuff with them related to that so it can introduce a lesson that. Do I make any sense?

It doesn't matter if it's inside or outside :)

@cholbert that makes a lot of sense. I am in Philadelphia so we were loaded with history so he went to Betsey Ross' house and the Liberty Bell, but if you still have really cold weather and snow I can see how that makes it hard. Where is your FS from?

What are they, what do they look like, how big are they etc? Sure I could come up with some stuff if you tell me some more about them - I do this every day for Greg :)

One is from North Idaho, one is from New Jersey and the other is from Oregon!

Kate - Flat Stanley comes from a book from (I think) the 1970's. It's about a little boy named Stanley who gets squashed when a bulletin board falls on him. It's all about all the cool things Stanley can do when flat, including being put in an envelope and being mailed to his friend in California, etc. So the Flat Stanley project was created in the 1990's (or so?) where school kids color and mail out their own Flat Stanley's and the recipient (me) takes pictures of FS doing cool stuff. Then we send it back to the school and the teacher can use the pictures and stories in all sorts of ways, including to teach geography among other things.

So, Flat Stanley is a piece of paper shaped like a person. It makes it interesting to put him in certain situations since he's one dimensional!

Oh wow.....I just recently learned about Flat. My twins start school in the spring and I'm wondering if I will endure this adventure. Great ideas....I never would have been as creative!

Once a friend had a flat stanley that went out to fly a kite, the kite flew up in to a tree, stanley climbed up, fell down . . . since we are xray techs he came to the hospital, had an xray of his arm - of course it was broken.
Another time flat stanley was playing outside, caught a cold and we took a chest xray and he had pneumonia!
I love flat stanley - the kids can learn so much from him.
