A few of you may have seen my swan series, following a nesting pair up until their cygnets hatch. In so doing this, I have seen scattered around the nest lots of inappropriate food, especially white bread. Why there are always seagulls in the Target parking lot I'll never know....but I now feel guilty for feeding them my Chick-fil-A fries....good info thanks!
Great info. At a local park there were some sick birds a few years ago that prompted them to put up big (ugly) signs that said not to feed the birds. Most seem to ignore them, and feed them in front of the signs. sad.
