FINALLY, after 3 mounth without a picture on PP, I was lucky to get my tired tiger there. But only for a few hours. It was so short a visit that I didnt see it myself (maybe because it was night over here ;-))
Sometimes I see the same pictures on PP for severel days, and other times the pictures are gone in a few hours.
Is it not possible to let the pictures shows on PP for 12 or 24 hours, so that we all, dispite timezones, have the opportunity to see our pictures there?

I had one get on there and it stayed up for a couple days. I think the reason it stayed up so long is because I kept getting more views, comments, and favs once it showed up there. Not really too sure how the whole system works though, but that's my guess.
Im amazed that you ppl know or even count the hours ur photos are on the popular page .
For me it normally is the next day ive loaded the photo that it goes onto the pp . Dunno how long it stays . I only check the pp about once a day to find new ideas . Im not a fan of the pp as i dont understand it and i guess i never will and im not saying that cos im never on it cos i get more then my fair share on it ... But really doesnt mean all that much too me as im into my 2nd year.
But congrats on being on the OH SO WORTHY PP no matter what length of time it was.

It makes me happy that other people thinks that my picture is great in some way. AND its a great way for others than my followers to see my pictures and maybe enjoy them and want to follow me. And the other way around. And about the length of time.......I would love to see my picture there for myself :-) Thats why I start this discussion!
funny i was saying this just the other day ..its nice to see your photos on pp as its like getting a merit mark (big kid) lol also pp gives the opportunity for more people to see photos that otherwise they may never come across as you said time zones etc if i hadnt been up a 6am i would have never had known it had ever been on pp *bottom lip tremble*
i think it generally depends on the level of interest the photo gets...some get many views for a length of time on the PP so it remains there, others may not get as much traffic...i have had pics that have stayed for days and some just a couple of hours...it really makes no difference to me how long one sits there- it is nice to see that others found it interesting enough to be in that category...even for a short time.:)
@sdpace Haha! It's kind of sad that we get caught up in that sort of thing but I'll admit I'm guilty of wishing more of my photos wound up on there. The last photo I had up there was only up for a few hours, which did seem strange to me since others seem to stay up for days. I too just figured it's because even with the notoriety of the popular page my photo wasn't getting much additional interest so it didn't last long. I generally check the page once or twice a day so I was lucky that I happened to catch it during the few hours it was up. I had the same thought that I wish they'd stay up for at least 12 hours if not the whole day because it is a boost to the ego to see one's photo on there. Personally, I find it to be a little annoying when the same photos are up for days on end because I go there wanting to see new pictures and get new ideas.
Your photo is on the PP right now - that tiger one. Sometimes you have to hit the shuffle button and it will reappear in another place. I understand how you feel though. I'd want to see it if it was mine too. I've had photos up there for a short time (not as many 'faves') and some up there for 2 days. Like someone else said, I think if it keeps getting fav'd and people continue to look at it and like it, it may be there longer. Not sure how it all works though...just a thought. Congrats on your photo...go look now, he IS there!!! ROAR! ha ha
I was so pleased to have 4 photos on the PP in one week, even if they were only on there for a short time. One night stands, the next morning they were gone, but still happy to know that there are monkeys who like my stuff :D
I have never had a photo on the PP so I don't know what it feels like nor how long they stay. I would feel elated if it did happen, but I won't be heartbroken if it never does. There are a ton of amazing photographers on here, all of whom are better than me, so its no surprise I haven't made it, haha! I don't take pictures with the intent of trying to make it to the page, I do it for me. :)
