Shopping "Help"

As you can see from my project, I have a Kodak EasyShare M590 Digital Camera. When I am able, I eventually want to upgrade. I want to get one of those shutter cameras to get clear action shots. I am relatively new to the photography scene and don't know where to start looking and I'm sure most of you have been in the game longer than I have.

Any help and/or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the camera brands have a great range of digital SLR's available starting from low prices. A DSLR will give you more flexibility and range of zooms, speed, etc to capture all you want.

There are some great forums online that will give you information on all the cameras available. Just google dslr camera reviews and go from there. It all depends on just what you want to get out of your gear.
Happy shopping!

One of the things that influenced me when I was choosing a camera was how it felt to me. I have relatively small hands, so the canon bodies felt better over nikon, but then there was a big difference between the canon eos 1000D and the 500D. I knew vaguely what I wanted but that was the clincher between those two cameras. There was also the video aspect - I wanted it, but it wasn't a deal breaker. With my compact, I had a rather more restrained budget, but again it was how it felt, as well as having a couple of features I knew I wanted - I wanted colour selection in camera, and the fish eye effect as it meant that I wouldn't need to buy a seperate lens. I wanted a few manual modes for the times when they really are needed. I ended up getting the Canon Powershot SX130 IS which had all the things I wanted and more for less than I was expecting. With both cameras, I took a long time deciding what I wanted out of each of them - how many megapixels, what special features, how much I was willing to spend, looking at reviews of the camera. I don't know if this ramble has helped at all, but I hope it has.
