hi, I love photography and thats why I love this website, but the only thing is, is that at the moment i'm always behind, I feel like my photos are all the same, and theres nothing to photograph, i havn't being able to go out this week, and theres nothing to photograph any more in my house :/ If anyone has any ideas please reply, thank youu :)
Well, chances are your camera has a macro mode (generally a button or mark on a dial that looks like a tulip). Ordanary things can look very interesting photographed close-up so I would start there. A plain or colored piece of paper makes a good background for macros.
I looked at your project and I see that you have cats. Pets are so much fun to photograph, and while I know cats can be very tricky (I have one and I'm always trying to catch up with her), you can always spend some time following them and see what kind of expressions you can capture.
Lastly, I bet you have shoes! I love arranging a pair of shoes and photographing them, especially on a rainy day.
I hope these ideas help and if I come up with anything else I'll post it. Photography is all about seeing things differently so just start looking through your viewfinder and I'm sure you'll have plenty of photos!
Shadows.
You can always play with shadows of something simple as a chair or even curtains. Playing with light and shadows can produce wonderful photos, both in color and b&w.
Don't forget the enormous variety of editing that you can work on with a simple picture. Take a picture of your toothbrush and see what you can do with editing.
You can also search here for "ideas" or "inspiration".
take a shot at the theme. This week it's doors. As you drive or walk around, start looking at doors. You'll find interesting things along the way. At the end of the day, you'll be surprised at what comes our of your camera.
take some more self-portraits. the one you have is really good!
sunrises and sunsets are always lovely to photograph, and the sky generally tends to be my last-minute choice for when i haven't found anything interesting to take a picture of.
have you tried any candle shots yet? i haven't, but it's my backup idea for a day that i'm stuck at home!
Try the A - Z challenge. That gets you looking at different things and that can be around the house. Or numbers 1 - 10..... 1 object, then 2, then 3 and so on....could be cutlery, jewellery, leaves, stones, stamps, anything. As the others have said, try different lighting, or very close up or upside down! Use a torch or a lamp if you haven't anything photographic, thats what I do sometimes! Good luck!
Find a pond or other body of water. They look different with different weather and also change with how the light changes in the course of a day. They also attract a lot of wildlife. Be quiet and wait a few minutes if you don't see any interesting critters...they will come. Also start leaving food out for birds and squirrels. Great and challenging subjects they are.
Buildings at night are cool, especially businesses that are well light or have neon lights. Don't forget your tripod. :-)
thank youu to everyone who has replied, i've now got thousands of ideas in my heado f what to take, i really aprreicate allyour helpp thanks millions xxx

if you can't leave your home, try taking photos of the same things, only make them abstract. Or, give yourself a theme. Naladka above me gave you a great list you could try! :)
If all these suggestions aren't working for you the Daily Shoot assignments will. You can use the assignments to come up with your pictures for whatever you have handy. They are simple enough to follow and the interpetation is up to you.
@indiannie_jones - wow, thanks for the inspiration.
I was going to say - just keep at it! You will start to look at things differently. We all have times where we just don't know what to shoot. I think I've learned to see a differently. Rather than looking at the large and vast images, or simple things that surround us - try to look beyond. I have photographed mud a lot, tree bark, rocks, things that I wouldn't normally give much thought to. Look for the unnoticable things, but persist. Seeing differently is what makes photography so wonderful.
Hey, I take my comments back. I just looked at your portfolio, and you have a wonderful range of images. You are trying different compositions and subject matter, and doing quite well! You're on the right track. Don't get frustrated. Some days you will have a pile of images, and other days nothing seems to work right.
