Help...want to make sellable posters from photo....

June 9th, 2011
Hello fellow 365ers!!

I have a couple photos that I would love to have turned into a poster that could actually be sold on the market. One in particular....my Colonial Williamsburg Doors photo collage.

I don't just want to go to some place like Shutterfly, Flickr, Smugmug or Snapfish to print my own. I am really looking for a place that will print the picture into a paper poster so it can be sold in stores. I have absolutely NO idea how to go about doing this, how much it may cost etc.

Got any ideas?? I'd love to hear them. Thanks so much!!

Here's the one that I mentioned above:

get on line and go to lulu printers , you fix your print and send it to them to print, talk to them

be prepared for larger min orders... on paper from a printers likely you would need to order 100 to 1000(better) to make it worth the time...

posters are printed in a different manner than photo paper or ink jets... to be colour fast they often printed on presses... you are looking for a printer not a photo store and they can sort you out...

IDK but ever since I saw this photo way long ago, I think about it almost on a daily basis when I see a cool door!

You could try Creative Memories.
http://digital.creativememories.com/Pages/default.aspx

You'll have to create an account and then find the "Wall Print Posters" link. Just upload your photo and then drag and drop it.

They are actually printed on photo paper. They are nice and thick. Good quality. Not sure if the pricing is cost effective....$26.99 and $29.99. You'd have to add that to your cost. But, if you get to know a consultant, maybe you can work a deal.
