Help me make this better?

June 10th, 2011
I just got my first offer of money for a picture I posted on facebook.
This is a cider mill in my hometown and it has a lot of sentimental meaning to people who grew up here. If I do sell it to people that have asked I want to make sure it is the best it can be. Anyone have any advice on how to better this photo....because I think it could be better. Thanks in advance.

well there are a couple of ways I can see that would enhance the picture depending on what effect you wanted to achieve you can go for the black and white look desaturate the image and slightly increase the contrast dodge and burn the shadows and highlights, (it would also look really good in sepia) or if you want to go colourful use a saturation brush to go over the trees and the wooden slats (there are some quite rich browns in there.)

Much like what Lee (@asrai) was saying, my first thought was a sepia / 'old west' sort of feel. Similar to this...

@cohare also keep in mind the person who made the offer may have wanted your sooc intact but I would say do a few versions to show your client options i.e best of both worlds :)
