File synchronisation help

July 23rd, 2011
Hi there 365 friends!

I am an adobe user and regularly backup files on two separate drives. The problem I have is that when I update files, by editing or changing RAW settings, it isn't automatically done on second drive. This can be painful.

Does anyone out there know of some good software I can use with Adobe Bridge to automatically update these changes in the raw files, etc.

Would love some help!

Well, depends where the "changes" are made. If they're made to the RAW files themselves, then you need your backup software to do incrementals - i.e. copy any changed files, each time it runs.

If it's like Lightroom though, I believe the changes'll actually be stored in separate config files, so you'd need those copied over too, but that in itself might not be enough - Bridge might need explicitly telling which "change files" went with each image, or may not even be able to be told this. Does Bridge not have its own specific backup facility? Lightroom does, although I've not used it.
