There are specific software programs. link
Many photo editing programs such as photoshop will do.

I made a brush in photoshop. Do a google search for 'custom photoshop brush' (then bookmark it so you don't have to research every time you forget how to do it, not that I have ever ever ever done that ever *cough*).

Make the brush large enough that you can use it for full size images. Here on 365 I just use it as a signature, but I'll scale it up for larger images.

Some sites like zenfolio will have it built in. Saved me hours of work when it's a huge quantity of files.

Another thing you can do is make it an action, which is what I did...since I don't know how to make brushes in photoshop. I could look it up, but honestly, I only use photoshop for photo-editing, so the action works fine for me. If you decide to go with the action option, you can look up how to create an action on google, it's really easy.

Thanks for the help!!! Another question I have is what is the best photoshop program to get?? I download a free trail of Photoshop CS5, but to be honest I really don't know much about photoshop?

This will help. Don't get discouraged. I have used CS5 for the past 6 months and I am just hitting the tip of the iceberg. Also Youtube has a ton of tutorials, just search any phrase or words you can think of that might apply. If you don't want to pay for CS5 but you decide you like PS, Elements is a stripped down version that doesn't have all the bells and whistles but has almost everything a casual user could want.

GIMP is a freeware editing program that is very similar to PS. It also has a steep learning curve and can be daunting but many people on here use and like it!

I saw your other thread concerning this. I used Jinx's tutorial about how to create a brush, mixed with a little knowledge gained the hard way and came up with my watermark here.
