Portrait images loading as landscape?

November 15th, 2011
Hi, My daughter has loaded two photos both taken & loaded as portrait but are displayed as landscapes - how turn around the images to display correctly?

You can turn them with every photo display programme. Picasa is very easy to use for example. If you have an ace account you can also choose "edit with picniK" and turn it around there. Hope that helps.

@jannaellen They are in portrait when loaded but change to landscape when displayed on 365???

@yumyum46 : That is weird. Maybe you should try uploading them as landscape so that they will turn back? This has never happened to me before... Sorry!

As you are an 'ace' member you can edit it in Picnic (see your right hand menu). When you get to picnic rotate it until it is correct and then 'apply'. Next save it to 365 project (see button top left). That should fix it.
Maybe the setting on your camera for 'rotate' is incorrectly set? Its possible that 365 has picked that up from the meta-data in the photo. Just an idea...

Mine do that too. Some viewers figure out which way that are suposed to be and turn them, but it is not an official "saved" turn.

I have this problem too with images recorded on my Canon EOS 550 (Rebel T2?), Flickr correctly identifies images as landscape or portrait but 365 project loads all images as landscape. It is really disappointing. Do I have to pay for ace membership for such a simple problem? I even tried resaving images in photoshop to try and repair them but still no joy.

I am having the same problem and also can't seem to find a solution to this other then being an ace member?
