First, I know this doesn't have to do with photography BUT.......... I'm going to keep starting discussions on this till the deadline or the charity is safely within range to get picked!
Second Chance Ranch is run singlehandedly by Katie,an amazing woman, aside from a few sporadic volunteers (my wife and myself being a large part of them). She manages to care for and feed over 25 horses everyday! The charity was set up to rehabilitate and find homes for ex-racehorses(Thoroughbreds) that have been retired because of injury or age. Most racehorses start racing at 2 years old and retire at 4! They still have plenty of life and ability left in them, but need someone to find them a home and care for them in the mean time.
She needs all the help she can get, most months she barely keeps afloat. The charity will receive $25,000 if they are in the Top 100 based on the amount of votes. You can only vote once for a charity but 10 times overall for any of the charities. It is free and all you have to do is click.
You need a FB account to cast a vote......voting ends Nov 22.
