The Wold's Most Expensive Photograph has been referenced several times on this site. Now is the chance to show that your work is worth Millions as well. Upload your photos in the style of Andreas Gursky.
Here are my examples.
This started out as a photograph of a white, textured wall. I then photoshoped out most of the texture and shadows. I uploaded it full size, see if you can find the fly i left in.
Self Portrait Against a Brick Wall.
Photoshopped out self.
This photo is my personal expression of post-modern angst. I wanted to express my feelings on the commercialism of modern society and our need to strip our art down to the essentials.
Either that...or it is the worst macro of a snowflake EVAH.
i see the point you're trying to make, but neither of these photos are in the style of Andreas Gurksy. I wouldn't even consider paying the auction prices on his photos, but there is clearly artistic thought that went into the composition and geometry of his photos.
@scatochef This is in reference to one photograph, the one referenced in my link. The brick wall, had I actually photographed myself in front of it, would be in the style of that one image.
Not sure I am truly making a point, though, just having a bit of fun.
@beautifulthing Your angst drips from this photo. No, not mere photo, this magnificent expression.
