I was aiming to take the photo of the peony but noticed the ant and the beetle on it. Am not sure who would come out on top - the beetle's shell is pretty tough, but the ant was all over it!
I like the photo that came out of this - made me wonder if anyone else has shots of confrontations between animal/insects or wildlife in general!
oooh what an awesome thread topic.......i'll have to be on the lookout..the only confrontation i could find in my project was of my "wild" niece and nephew....

@lauralatham Yes, pelicans. Quite entertaining to watch. There was one on the shoreline then the other two flew in & honed in on him. Somebody was upset over something
funnily enough my photo today sort of fits with this - my cat's 1st encounter with a hen, unfortunately I was too busy intervning to get the better shot of my other (bigger) cat deciding to wade in.
