I don't like doing this because it is sort of like an add, but you have to check something out. I have started a challenge called: "Creative"Challenge #1. It is located in the Themes and Competitions board. I hate doing this page but the challenge isn't doing so well. The instructions for the challenge are on the real "Creative" Challenge#1 page. I think you set up an interesting challenge. I'm impressed with your writing too because it's much better than most of the eighth graders I teach.
I'm GUESSING that people might not be responding because 1) you started a couple of threads,which were great, but you didn't respond to anyone. It's nice if the person starting a discussion contributes to the discussion or thanks the participants; or 2) there are already so many challenges going on, and 3) it's a busy time of year for people.
