I fear I too often rely on words. Must force myself to let an image tell the story. But I had so much fun putting this together that...what the heck! Should have tweaked the images, but the computer is still in crisis and I just wanted to get it put together before it said zero available KB again.

@northy @m9f9l @mcsiegle @Cheesebiscuit

I don't want to be quizzacious, but this doesn’t appear to be a word in the dictionary. Hmmmm

Ah, who cares? I did a "satirical" photo and I am going to post it! Getting it ready now. Well, I guess it qualifies as satirizing something..I am going with it.

@espyetta yeah... i'm not sure now... i got it off the OED site, but i am not a member so couldn't go further than what was on their home page on Sunday night... it was their word of the day on June 3rd

@northy Okay..dumb question..what is OED? Well, it is certainly an "interesting or intriguing" word when it has such mysterious roots! haha So it fills the bill.

@espyetta oxford english dictionary... i grew up assuming they were THE authority when it comes to the english language... but their website is subscription based... so you can see the front page with the word of the day, but can't get beyond that...

I did three. Is that "legal?" LOL
I did satirical...or satire, on Star Wars, Rodin's "The Thinker," and an SNL skit. That is alot of satire or mocking.

@Cheesebiscuit @espyetta @northy Went to the OED through the KSU Libraries. Their listing has no more than you quoted initially, @northy, but hey, if it's in the OED it's good enough for me. Listed as obsolete, but who cares. The more obsolete the better, IMO. That being said, the OED also listed it as a "nonce-word" and I had to look that up. Hmmm....It's a word coined "for the nonce" -- that is, for a particular immediate occasion and not likely to be used again. However, sometimes a nonce-word will then come into more general use. About.com is one of a number of sources for more info: http://grammar.about.com/od/mo/g/noncewordterm.htm Hey, I like to learn at least one new thing each day. I'm done for today!

Oh, OED..Oxford English Dictionary. I am a Websters sort of girl..well, until it went online. I think Northy wins the prize for selecting the most obscure "nonce word" for this Mad Minute thing! She is the queen! All hail! to the queen!
