The idea of Mad Minute Words is simple: we present a strange (and/or lovely) word to you, and you draw from it as inspiration for your photo... to keep it acceptably mad, we're doing two words a week, one presented on Monday and another on Friday.
This being Friday*, your photo for today's word should be posted on SUNDAY 9th June.
The day after I was asked to host this round of mmw, I looked on the Merriam Webster website and found that the most searched for word in the previous 24 hours had been "cunnilingus". As tempting as that was, you'll be pleased to know that I have instead chosen the word "hypnagogic", meaning "of, relating to, or occurring in the period of drowsiness immediately preceding sleep". I didn't even know there was a word for it, but it's something I love.

This word is perfect for me...it describes how I feel every time I take my cold meds. Since I have been taking them all week I am in a constant hypnagogic state. Too funny!
@mcsiegle I'm really looking forward to what might come out of this. That period between awake and asleep is ripe for all kinds of oddness, so what photos people might take is going to be quite fun to see :)
@Cheesebiscuit I am so glad you did not go with that first one you found. haha Hypnogogic....Hmmmmm I think that will be hard, but love how general it is too! Cannot wait to see what people cook up for this! or what will occur to me. Maybe I will have some inspiration in my hypnagogic period in the next night or two....
Having once been asked to photograph "the act" by a very rude and delusional person, I can honestly say I am very glad you did not pick the1st word! but you started my morning off with a big LOL!!
