Sorry to do my first and then this my second posting in such close succession, but are there any 365ers in Burma who were at Augn San Suu Kye's release? It's such a historic moment. She's such an inspiration. It would be brilliant to see any images and get any descriptions of that moment.
@indiannie_jones How stupid of me to assume that this was being followed by other countries as much as it is here, where it is a top news item. I've been following this as have vast numbers of others in this country - she's incredibly brave, brave woman. When her husband was dying of cancer in the UK the Burmese authorities would not allow him into the country. Likewise her sons and she has been under house arrest for years. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11749661
Great news. Lets hope they don't find new excuse to arrest her again. After what seemed to be a farce of an election (from what i read recently) lets hope this is a start of something good for the country.
Was reading about the massive burma internet attack before the elections. Whole thing was totally suspect. Not good at all
@pocketmouse It's brilliant ....if it holds. I don't think those generals are going to give up power easily and a free Aung San Su Kyi could regain popularity. Fingers crossed. So wish there were some Burmese contribution to this thread, with photos. What a shame.
Didn't quite make Burma but I was in a Burmese restaurant last night for a gathering which had been arranged weeks earlier!
Any celebration was very subdued but there was a hand written message on cardboard stuck on a mirror! New to this so not sure how to add it but I took a shot of the sign for my pic of the day... this may link to it!
Don't read newspapers. Don't watch TV and I don't accomplish much online.

I really appreciate your interest in this and just in case it's of further interest, here is a simple history of this woman: http://www.thefamouspeople.com/profiles/aung-san-suu-kyi-11.php
