Thanks to Karen Menke @kamen088 for hosting the last WWYD111 Challenge, and to everyone who participated and voted in the Challenge!
The What Would You Do (WWYD) Challenge is about taking an image and adding a touch of your own style and creativity, and pushing yourself to possibly learn some new editing skills! There are no rules as such, edit the image any way you like - by changing exposure, crop, or colour balance, or use an editing program to add, delete or alter anything you wish to improve (or just change) the image, and perhaps as mentioned, learn or use some new post-editing techniques (layers, image extraction, blending, etc.)!
How to enter the WWYD112 Challenge:
- Save the base image provided to your computer and edit it any way you'd like.
- A larger version of the picture can be found here:
- The photo you edit must be uploaded into one of your albums to count for entry.
- To be considered you MUST TAG your PHOTO “WWYD112” in the tag section when you upload it.
- Remember that posting your photo in this discussion is OPTIONAL. ;-)
- To load your image into this discussion thread, go to your photo, copy the "share" code found under your image, and paste it here.
- Multiple entries are fine and encouraged
If you have any questions about any parts of the process, just ask away in this thread ! :)))
The WWYD112 Challenge contest starts now and ends Wed June 18th @ 9:00 pm Pacific. Finalists will then be announced and voting commenced shortly thereafter.
@mikegifford
I been wanting to try these comps, but after saving them to my computer, I cake figure out how to upload to Lightroom 5, I can see it in my pictures but when I upload its gone, any suggestions?
@nikkilee When in the library of LR5 and you have the left side panel in view, start at the highest level of folders possible for the hard disk holding all your files. At this point navigate down to the location where you saved the picture. I've found LR can get a bit confused at times so starting the the top-level seems to help.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE - If you have added a picture to a folder THAT IS ALREADY in your LR library, just right-click on the folder and select "synchronize folder" and LR will bring in the new or edited picture into the library. Let me know if this helps.
@mikegifford *Curses* Mike! You had to go and say to enter as many times as we'd like...and now I can't stop! I had 100 throw-away photos of my grandson in the pool a few days ago, and now I'm giving them a new lease on life! AND...I'm having WAY TOO MUCH fun!
Sophisticated...
...and silly silly!
( have more...may I put them on empty spaces from earlier days?)
New WWYD112 is posted!
