Get-pushed-148 ends tonight, but you can start looking through the entries today by searching the tag get-pushed-148 and sorting out the top 5 or 6 images you like. Check again tomorrow to see if there were last minute entries and decide on your final 5 or 6. For get pushed challenges you will also want to view the image in the account and see what their "challenge" was to see how well the image meets the challenge.
Tomorrow you can set up the voting. To do this you go to "themes and competitions" and click on "new topic." Then it's just a matter of typing in information. You give each finalist a number, include their name and @ address, a few brief words as to what their challenge was, and then their picture (you get that from clicking on the three dots to the lower right by the date of the picture, then copying the address from that box and pasting it in your discussion thread - it always seems to paste right behind the last letter typed so I always have to go in and add an "enter" to separate it and get the image to appear under the information).
I think all of us look back at previous competitions and imitate the layout and often do a quick copy/paste of some of the standard language with the appropriate date changes for voting time frames, so feel free to do that from the last vote if you'd like. Then you give it a title "Vote Get Pushed 148), hit "post" and you are up and running. Next Sunday you just tally up the votes, revisit the "theme" page, click "new topic" and announce the winner with the winning image.
If you need help do not hesitate to contact me. It can be a bit daunting, but the hardest part really is deciding on the finalists. I haven't checked this week's out, but definitely narrow it down to 5 or 6 you like best.
Thank you for all your help. It makes me far less nervous. I have already been checking the entries and in this contest it is like comparing apples and oranges. I believe I can handle it. The biggest problem is that I leave on Tuesday for an. 11 day river cruise in France but I am supposed to have free internet access the whole time. Thanks again. Kathy
