I asked Graeme a few weeks ago if we could try to play with his style for Halloween, and he said sure, if @northy will participate too.
Well, some of you know his work and for some it will be new. I see that lately Graeme is showing some gorgeous seascapes, but in his deep dark past he used more grisly themes. So, you may need to scroll back a bit to see the ones that seem Halloweeny.
In his own words,
"I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also enjoy the occasional (hourly) wine and like to torment my neighbours by setting fire to things too close to their fences and burying dead animals and road kill in my garden. Other than that, I'm a big ol' pussy cat that wouldn't hurt a fly. "
So, he shoots these skulls and bones and scary portraits mostly in black and white. I will post one here, copying the URL from my 365 posting and pasting it here. Please join me this month until November 2nd to play in the style of 365er @graemestevens. We can all visit here for a bit of a Halloween thrill.
To add to this list, I went to my 365 site and the photo I uploaded for the @graemestevens page. Click on the three dots on the right under the photo, and you will see the box of the embeded code. Select the code in the box and copy it. Then come to this site and "Paste" it into the reply box. Pretty simple. Maybe I should have called this a Challenge, but I didn't think we needed to vote, just to enjoy the fun.
What a supernatural coincidence!!! I just posted a picture of a museum visit yesterday, to welcome Greame to my project and say thanks for his new follow, a couple of days ago. ;-)
What an absolutely great idea, although I would not know where to start. Pity we don't celebrate Halloween here but I shall look forward to seeing the entries!
@dibzgreasley Graeme also posts spooky selfies in black and white. He often uses costumes in these selfies, but lighting alone can make the shot. You could play with us too!
@kali66 Those are fine examples - what are they from? I have a friend bringing round a pig head for me on the weekend - making brawn first and then having the skull for decoration
@graemestevens
I don't think I've ever seen Graeme post one quite like this, but I do think it is fitting as a Halloween image and it is in fact not in color. :-P

First attempt, abject fail:
