I have been thinking that it might be nice (and fun) to start a new challenge series. Yes, I know we have a plethora of challenges to choose from already, but how about this:
The object of this challenge is to take a picture that could be appropriately titled with the title of a song. For example,
Winter Wonderland by @printscharmingandpurseandboots
Any picture that might be appropriately named the title of a song works. I'd love to see "Ebony and Ivory" or "What a Wonderful World" or "What Does the Fox Say?" or "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds!" If it is an obscure song (can't be searched on YouTube) it may be necessary to provide the lyrics to the song, but really the sky is the limit!
I can see how some songs titles might be overused, so perhaps once a winner is chosen, then that song title would be retired for future challenges. So what do you think? This is great, there was a song challenge in 2014 & was never picked up again. The winner picked a song for the next challenge & everyone shot an image in relation to its title or lyrics. I like the variety of choice you have given. I will be definitely in
@fearinnocent I would say whatever title fits your picture. Though maybe I should limit to one entry per person? Thoughts?
Do keep in mind that if your awesome picture titled Bawitdaba (yes, there is really a song titled this) is voted the winner, the title is retired never to be selected again, and all the other people who wanted to title their photo Bawitdaba for a future challenge will have to find another silly name. ;)
I started the last challenge back in 2014 and then I was away from the site for a while. It was a challenge where there was a song chosen and you could take a photo that reflected either the title of the song or part of the lyrics of the song. For that challenge the winner chose the song for the next challenge. I will take part in the challenge as often as I can!!
Personally I think pick the song title then the pictures have to reflect that one song. It would be interesting to see everyone's "version" of the song title. But either way, I think it would be fun!!
