I offered to help @westcoastwallis with the World Wide Minute this year as far as the 365 side of it goes.
According to the lovely world wide web, it is currently Tuesday morning in places such as Auckland, Sydney, Tokyo etc. In these areas the World Wide Minute takes place TODAY at 5:47 PM (that's PM, in the evening, people).
The concept is simple. At 5:47 P.M in whatever time zone you happen to be in stop whatever you are doing and take a photo of anything you deem to be photo worthy in whatever location you happen to be at in that moment. Then, upload it. The link for uploading to the Facebook event is https://www.facebook.com/events/494226840749493/
When posting to the Facebook event, please include this information:
*Your name
*Your country
*Your town, city, or ville (optional)
*A little info about the photograph you're sharing (also optional)
* #worldwideminute2016 (hashtag so that all the photos for the event can be easily found)
Want to post your World Wide Minute photo to 365? Just upload as normal but please add the tag worldwideminute2016 (again, so all the participating photos can be easily found.)
U.S.A. & Canada Friends(or anyone else whom will be experiencing Tuesday tomorrow March 15th)- Our day is tomorrow!

Yes. Thank you. My posting has been edited. Although I should re-edit it to say "U.S.A., Canada and whomever else will be experiencing Tuesday tomorrow".
@moonmtn
Um. I BELIEVE it's just a random time, but as @westcoastwallis was the one to actually start this challenge, I can't answer for sure. Likely, Paula will pop on here and chime in with a response. :)
@tracys
Phone pics are certainly welcome. The object is to take the actual photo at 5:47 p.m. , again actual camera or camera built into a phone is the choice of the photographer. Editing and posting at a later time is perfectly okay.
@moonmtn Hi! The only reason I picked 5:47pm is because the first year I hosted the event, I had gotten the original idea from The Toronto Grid. They had just hosted the "torontominute" (which was only open to pro photographers, I believe) and they had used 5:47pm. I thought it seemed as good a time as any - most people are done work for the day, there's still enough ambient light outside for a decent shot, and people are still awake and moving around the city:)
Mine was the first photo up on the Facebook page ☺. Wasn't a particularly exciting shot as I was on a train going through a tunnel. But I can't wait to see what everyone else puts up!

I apologize for my error.
Yes. Take a photo at 5:47 P.M. in whatever time zone you happen to be in. Again, sorry.
Can't wait to see your image Maree!

Thanks for participating Maggie and Katrina!
