Just a reminder on the current technique challenge - Rear Curtain Sync. This challenge runs until Sept 11th. I'm happy to extend or an additional week for those folks that are time limited and may need an extra weekend to give this challenge a shot. What are your thoughts?
For more information on Rear Curtain Sync (or Slow Sync), this is a link to original challenge.
Although this sounds like a difficult challenge, once you give it a go it's quite simple and the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. This is an additional link that may give you some inspiration.
Please don't feel intimidated by this challenge, because we are all here to learn and even if you give it a crack and your not happy with the result, post your photo anyway and I'm sure that some of our fellow 365'ers will be able to help and offer advise.

Hi Lisa, ive just looked at the settings on your camera, a Còoolpix P610, and it seems that your camera does have a rear curtain flash mode.
If you want to have a play
- put your camera into Manual mode and choose a slow speed ,maybe 1 second
- popup your flash
- select your flash settings button
- scroll down and you will find an option that says rear curtain sync
- take your shot of a moving subject
@deborah63 Thanks, now I know what that flash symbol is! LOL! I've tried it out, but so far, it hasn't worked. I'll keep experimenting. Maybe I'll come up with something to submit.
