HI everyone, stoked to win the last technique, vaseline soft focus and having the opportunity to propose the next challenge, something completely different to try, or improve at.
Photographing birds in flight is something i really want to do but, I usually just point and shoot and hope for the best . I am sure there are some finer points and camera settings that could help me to get better results, i just havent taken the time to go through my camera settings to get the optimum settings to use. so that is what i want to focus on finding out for this challenge, hopefully others will too, lets practice together.
If anyone has expertise and tips or resources to share please do so below.
In the meantime lets study up with these links to start with. it can be a bit intimidating seeing these guys with all the gear, but just use the best you have.

@northy having watched those videos i am amazed how many factors come into play, in terms of camera settings and thinking about bird habits, panning technique etc. hope its not tooo complicated, but i find a good flight shot fascinating and really want to try being a bit more onto it!
This is very interesting! I do a lot of birdwatching, but so far I haven't been able to get many pics of birds in flight because in auto mode my camera won't focus fast enough ...The info-graphic and the links are very helpful!
Like northy I never knew there was an actual technique! Thanks for the cheat sheet, makes it seem really simple. I hope to be able to get out there with some birds.
Shutter 1/1000 Aperture F8 & ISO 200
Always try to have a go at this, a lot of unsuccessful ones, perserverance is the key. I struggle with the focus mostly
looks good, its harder to focus among trees i noticed @wenbow f8 was probably a good choice at this distance, more luck getting the bird in the focus zone
