Unfortunately Kelly never got back to me with a theme choice so I have selected this weeks as "Movie Scene"
This is something I've wanted to do for ages, I love still captures from films depicting a gangster meeting, a heated argument, or 2 people in a car through the windscreen. (maybe all 3 at the same time). I'm looking for a scene you've set up yourself, not an image of a T.V set, really looking forward to see what you come up with.
-------------------------
Entry to this theme starts on Monday (10th January) and will accept entries until Sunday night (23:59 GMT 16th Jan). 5 finalists will be chosen next week and we'll vote on the winner then.
Entries must have been taken and uploaded this week only! Entries outside of the date range will not be accepted in to the final 5.
This is a really fun theme, I start thinking of scenes immediately. All the best of luck to you Ross, hope you have enough time for all those Blue-series!
I misunderstood and was thinking that theme voting continued thru Sunday night, however I suppose we are in different time zones and I just keep forgetting that ! Therefore I failed to check my email in a timely manner. So sorry.
Anyway, I am so flattered by all the positive feedback I received for my silhouette photo. Very proud to be a part of the many talented photographers on 365 who keep me challenged and inspired.
I was going to choose "Motion" as the theme, however since I'm a bit "time zone challenged", I appreciate the selection of theme. (Will keep "motion" in my back pocket for hopefully another win someday). :)
Thanks again to everyone !! I'm very excited to have been in the top 5, and very honored to have been voted #1 .
Happy Shooting !

MY GOSH!!!!! now let's see what i can do... will try this one.. now thinkin' of movies... i just did a black swan this week... i shoudl've waited for this week... hahahhahahaha
hmmm .... interesting. If anyone has any ideas for this one to help me out.. I only learned how to take photos using the manual function this week so this theme is going to be challenging!!!
I am wondering if the users here get to vote on the final entries or if the winner is chosen by someone or a committee. If it's a voting thing, could you tell me where that's done. I've looked all over and can't seem to find the finalists and a voting option. Thanks.
@dvarey Some time later in the week Ross will open a discussion called "[Vote] Blue Theme" (this is what last week's Vote-thread looked like for Silhouette ... http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/2925/vote-silhouette
Ross will have selected the 5 finalists, and the winner is based on the total number of votes received for one of those pictures, based on the votes being publically receorded in the [Vote] thread. If you look under the Disucss/Themes and Competitions menu you will find all the Vote threads since day dot.
@eleanor This weeks theme is movie scene.. LOL Blue was a couple of weeks ago. :D @dvarey In the opening post Ross explains how this works and how to vote.
Do I need to post a picture for Tuesday-Sunday, and each picture has to be something related to a movie scene? Or just use one as long it's included this week and tagged with the 'moviescene' part -
Let me know if that's correct. Thanks!
OMG! what a theme!!! this is so challenging, we be picking the brains of everybody for this! ahaha! i cant wait for your entries guys! i will try my best, let's see!!
@cindyisboring
It ends on sunday. So yeah, you can do it all week. Each one of my daily photos will be for the theme.
Or did you mean more on a single day? Yeah,if you have an ACE account and upload on a secondary album.
@rmcbuckeye You do not have to post a theme pic . . . you can post whatever you want every day. If you do want to join in the fun and enter the theme just tag your photo appropriately as theme-moviescene.
I can't believe that I actually participated in this (I am very much an amateur) but, as I explained under my photo, I needed some inspiration. Now I just hope people will actually see it!
Having worked on movies and taken many pictures on set, this feels like quite the stretch when you have to re-create and capture a 'scene'! I will see if I can pull one out...
Man, I have drawn a complete blank every time I begin to even think about this theme...however, I can see how this will make it easier to pick a winner this week ;) Hehehe Looking forward to seeing what people come up with!
@Scrivna Ross..this is unrelated to the contest, but I really don't have any idea how to contact you..so do you think you could read my topic and then tell me what I should do? (I just don't feel like re-explaining the whole thing on here) http://365project.org/discuss/general/3280/blocking
I've been having a TON of fun with this theme! I did a series of three pictures with sort of a spy theme. This one is my favorite, I'd love for you to take a look! :) http://365project.org/refriedradio/365/2011-01-12
@geertje the theme for this wek is mid air.... It was posted yesterday but probably hasn't a lot of hits yet.
More hits= higher standing on the topic board.
@matejaseliskar Yes, I know, I pasted my first picture for the theme today. But on the bottom at the right side is always the theme of the week and a link to the browse-entries
good pick, its gonna be a little harder than the blue theme ... have fun sifting through THOSE entries, gotta be a record that one haha.
....moviescene?? Ross,you are a GENIUS! Best theme,ever!

I don't know if I can pull this off, but I will most definitely try. :)
Congratulations, Kelly! I voted for that one---your shot was absolutely gorgeous. :)
