As Abstract-8 has just opened for entries here

I thought I'd borrow the idea of a previous host @vincent24 and post the winning images from the last 7 rounds to (hopefully) encourage and inspire!
Abstract 1 winning photo: 'apples and pears' by @pistache
Abstract 2 winning photo: 'marsh abstract' by @jackies365
Abstract 3 winning photo: 'abstract' by @vincent24
Unfortunately the link to this image appears to be broken, but the winning announcement is here:

@30pics4jackiesdiamond JackieR I'm just starting to 'get' it, I think! I found this link helpful: https://www.keptlight.com/abstract-photography/
and thinking about making the image more about lines, shapes, patterns etc than the actual object you are photographing. There seems to be some disagreement on whether the object should be recognisable or not. I've taken lots of photos of details of objects that are recognisable, but very few where they're not. My image above was one of my first attempts at the latter.
@gozoinklings@grammyn@deeganp Yes I agree. When I collected them together though, I was surprised to see how many of them were monochrome or near-monochrome. I'd love to see a more colourful selection this time round, and might have a go myself (not that I don't like monochrome).
