I recently found Dailyshoot.com. It is a site that gives you a daily photography challenge. I have been using this as a way to challenge myself to take interesting photos and to help me find inspiration for my shots. Has anybody else been using it? If so, could you share some of your images?
@michellestrehl
Thanks for posting this! I have not been using this site, but have been looking for a photo a day idea generator of sorts. I will be using this site from here on out!
Thanks again!
I use it interspersed with the other things that I am doing. It a good resource if you need a focus for the day. I also upload the page link to the twitter account. Works great.

You don't have to use twitter. I don't have a twitter account either. I just check the site daily. @kirsty1975
I don't plan on using it all the time. Just on those days when inspirations is... sparse.
I've been posting photos to the Daily Shoot website for about a year now. I love the challenge of creating a photo that fits the daily assignment. And it is so much fun to what other people post.
Some days, the assignment is straightforward and easy... "post a photo of something blue"... but sometimes the assignment will make me think about it all day. Like the other day... "Create a photograph today that illustrates or shows rhythm" or this one... "Make a photograph of something that is no longer there."
It's really fun to see what others come up with for solutions!
And yes, sometimes my Daily Shoot assignment ends up here, too. :-)
Thank you for posting this! I went there for the first time today. The theme was "capture movement." I thought about it all day and really struggled with it in the end. It really pushed my creativity which is what I need. I'm going to try do do more of their challenges.
Last year I was still new to DSLR photography and found some of the assignments to be a little over my head. This year, however, one of my resolutions this year was to do the daily shoots every day. So far I'm 16 for 16.
I follow them on twitter as well. I look at their recommendations at the start of my day to see if I find a relevant shot, if not I do somethin else. I love their suggestions though!
I follow them on twitter. I have used their example exactly, substituting my photo link to post my photos. And they never show up. :-/ so I will probably quit posting..but I like getting ideas from it.
I follow them but i usully only go the site in eve so if theres a theme that i like ijust write iot down on my list do to.. icreated a list of stuff to take pictures of themes and ect... that way if one day i couldnt find anything around i will try to do one of the things from the list it comes out that i add more then i erase
@michellestrehl Thank you for sharing the information. I had never heard of this site. @thewise000 I like your idea of making a list and referring to the list when I having an uninspired day. I keep a journal for my writing ideas so it makes sense to me to keep a journal of my photography ideas.
