WINNER pet challenge ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿถ

April 26th, 2019
Well, the last round of the pet challenge had a clear winner: the beautiful light and the wonderfully expressive eyes convinced most of the voters:

Congratulations, Vonsky @ilovelenses !!!

You now have the honor of setting up the next pet challenge. It was โ€œportraitโ€ the last two rounds, you can pick any other theme for the upcoming weeks.

From digging unsystematically through past pet challenges, I came across the following themes that have been used already:

Portrait
Selective coloring
โ€œLife rewardsโ€
Sleeping
Silhouette
Pets and Water
โ€œgifโ€ pet challenge
Pet Part challenge

Maybe you can copy and paste this list into your post about the new round of pet challenge so that we keep track of what has been done in the past.

Congratulations and we all are looking forward to the next round!

Thank you so much everyone who voted for Mish and I . He is a lovely muse for me , especially when we can't get out and about .
I have never entered or indeed won one of these challenges and in not sure where I have to post the new challenge and what I have to do.
Any help would be appreciated and I'll get on to it tomorrow afternoon. I do have an idea in mind for the new challenge however and I can't wait to see all your photographs.
Thanks again for voting for us and hopefully I'll have the new challenge up and running by tomorrow evening .

@ilovelenses

No problem!

1. Hover your mouse over "Discuss" on the top menu and select "Themes and Competitions".

2. Click on "New Topic" button and it will take you to a form where you can type the header for your post and the text itself.

3. Fill out the fields for the header (NON-eiditable later!) and the text (can be edited later if you notice mistakes).

4. In your text, describe your challenge, indicate the start and the finish date, tell people what your tag would be. The tag should be unique and not used before. You can have xxxxxxxxx-pet-challenge as a tag, where the xxx-es would be your theme word.

5. Click on "Start Topic". You are done with the posting.

Tip - I like to type more in a word processor and not in the post window. So, if I post longer texts, I usually type them up in Word, and then copy and paste here.

AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THE CHALLENGE:

6. Type your "tag" into the search window (the magnifying glas icon on the top menu) and after the search went through, click on "photos" in the menu on the left. This will show you all the submissions. You can do this earlier as well to see how many submissions are coming in for your challenge.

7. Select 5 (or 6) pictures you would like to be the finalists. Go through steps 1-5 again to set up the voting post.

8. To embed pictures of the finalists into your post, go to every individual picture you select, click on the little icon with the bendy arrow (right under the photo, next to the star for favoring photos). Clicking on the arrow will open little window with the link/URL you need to copy and paste into your text to have an embedded picture.

9. Do this to all the finalists one-by-one, number them so people can pick the number to vote. Give voting a couple of days, tell when the voting will be closing.

10. After the votes are in, go through steps 1-5 again to create the "winner" post - you can embed the winning photo there again and tag the winner.

11. Please include the list of past topics into that last post - this way we can keep the "list" alive and know what has been done before.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Congrats on your lovely portrait!

And just an fyi in the list of past challenges, it is Life reward (something the animal loves) rather than Live reward! Easy typo to make.
