Thankyou so much for those that have so far joined in the theme for CHD-awareness, they are all so wonderful. I am pleased to say that our support group is interested in holding a themed photo exhibition as a result of your photos. It will be held next February in conjunction with a cocktail night??? Just ideas going around at the moment. As I have never even attended a photo exhibition I am looking for your ideas and input on how to run a charity exhibition. It would be to raise money for the support group which helps children and families with heart defects.
Fire away - interested in your responses. Thankyou!!
I think you just do a charity exhibition with fancy wine glasses (and wine, of course...and maybe some strawberries....). Take "donations" as the entry fee.
I just did a google search and found a bunch of info...here's a good place to start maybe: http://www.photography-tips-guide.com/Photography_Services/Photography_exhibition/
I'm sure 365ers who posted a photo would give you permission to have them printed for the exhibition :) Thanks for reminding me, my daughter and I did this one tonight.
You should ask for donations of framed or matted photos and a small biography of the photographer. You can then do a silent auction of the photos, and use the money as a donation to a CHD organization. Also talk to art galleries to see if they will donate the space for an evening and talk to local bakeries, restaurants, breweries or bars to see if they can donate food and beverage. The key is to get the space first, the artists second and then food and beverage. Good planning is for six months out, and make fliers and use twitter and facebook for advertising
@sdpace Thankyou and what a sweet picture, thankyou to you and your daughter xx @robynelizabeth Thanks Robyn, I will definitely keep that in mind if this goes ahead!! @brumbe great information, thankyou :)
@jo365 Hi, am I right in thinking we can still tag our photos chd-awareness?? As this week's competition is your heart I have not only been entering that but also tagging with chd-awareness. Is this ok to do?
This is the last discussion thread :)
