I know this sounds really strange. However, it could be a good challenge to get photos of your dog, cat or bird up on your 365 album; or any type of animal for that matter. It doesn't have to be your pet.
I'm only suggesting this because next month, my little Sky Blue budgie, Little Miss Stevie, is 5 years old; and that's old for a bird. So, if you'd like to join me in my celebrations, you're quite welcome as each day you'll get to know my little bird a little more over 30 days of April.
Oh, I chose April because it's the month I got her.
I live in a very cat friendly neighborhood. I was already thinking of posting one of the cats each day... I even leave the basement door open (the back door has a doggie door) so they have shelter when it rains, when I go downstairs every morning I find sleeping cats, so far they don't spray or make a mess so it's all good.
I'm envious. Currently pet-less in a neighborhood with little wildlife except the occasional squirrel, and I could not compete with the squirrel photographers already working here! I look forward to viewing contributions to this theme.
Previous photos from years gone by and any photos of any kind of animal will do. So long it's an animal. I've seen so many animal photos, I thought to put it forward and see how many gorgeous shots we have hiding in our files on our computers and on our cameras... and I'm absolutely gobsmacked at the reaction.

Well, like I said in the beginning, iiwi, you upload photos of your pets, or anyone's animals (domestic or wild) each day of April and we can have a wonderful month of animals. I'm mainly doing it for my darling Little Miss Stevie; as she's turning 5 on 30th, April (and that makes her middle-aged for a budgie), and seeing how many photos I have of her, I thought everyone here would like to get to know her better.
I was thinking of us attaching a tag to it; so we can all see how many animals are around for the month. Sound good? Well, I was thinking of Animals_of_April
Wow! What a month we've had! And there's so many photos of all your animals of all kinds from beetles to rabbits to horses to peacocks to dogs and cats and birds of course... and my Little Miss Stevie.
I had so much fun looking through all of your photos - and still am doing it even though it's May now. I hope you all had fun perusing each other's photos as well. Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my little bird. Little Miss Stevie really is a character when the camera comes out... and does love getting her photo taken. I think it's the orange light she likes to flirt with personally... but you never know.
Now, it's back to putting up the other photos I took during April I couldn't put up because of the Themed month. How much fun is this going to be! :D
