I took a couple nice night time photos recently with the shutter open for 1 minute. Is there a filter to allow you to do it during the day to capture movement of boats & birds? Was thinking of trying welders mask glass.
Just deleted my previous post because I have remembered who used to use welder's glass (not Jake as I had previously thought, but somebody called Terry Lewis (I think) but he has deleted his account.
I've used ND filters quite a bit recently, love them and I think they're worth having in your kit - I've used them to get that "silky water" effect etc. Great fun to see what you can get out of them
I only have an ND for my 18-55mm kit-lens, and haven't been using that lens too much lately so... Maybe I should get that out again with the filter and try something this weekend :)
I use an nd filter, they come in different strengths, but if u want to take long exposures broad daylight, I would get the strongest, which will block out 10 stops of light, I really love it
