I have just watched a pal2tec YouTube video announcing and describing the new Fujifilm Firmware update. It was interesting.

Several members on this forum use Fujifilm cameras so I thought it might be useful to post this.

Other than owning a Fujifilm XT5 I have no connection with Fujifilm or pal2tec.

I also have watched Pal2Tech's firmware update video, excellent as is usual with Chris' videos. If you are a Fujifilm user then P2T is imho the best and essential go to.

I checked....but not my camera. Interesting but I have never thought to check for firmware updates....better go see.

I’m Fujifilm, but not those models. But I’m set up to get emails when they release new firmware for my camera. I try and check the firmware for my lenses every once in a while. Ah, the computer age!

I know my firmware for my x-pro1 is at least two updates behind. But I’m onto it now!!

Thanks john - i was actually thinking about firmware updates in the weekend. Some of those links are broken though.

I have an XT5. One of the reasons I bought it was that I had seen the Tamron 18-300 super zoom lens which interested me. Whilst I appreciate it is very much a compromise lens so far I have been satisfied with it. The camera came with a Fujinin 18-55 f 2.8 kit lens. I subsequently bought 13 mm, 33 mm Viltrox lenses and the 75 mm Pro Viltrox lens.

@lumpiniman all good about the links!! i'm a minimalist lens wise with a strong preference for prime lens. When i first bought my XT3 (Just 2 years ago) i opted to get the 35mm f2 prime. Fast forward to this week i bought second hand the 18-55mm f2.8 for a great price. so i'm happy with that. Although it's mostly sold as a kit (i bought my XT3 body only) its not really a kit lens
