"Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual." - Edward Weston

Into my 6th year here (I started 1/6/2015) and still loving the community. And leally looking forward to 2020. Primary camera is a Fujifilm X-T3 (mirrorless), which I love. Also use my iPhone quite a bit. Haven't had a compact digital for a while, who knows what the future holds?

Husband, father, grandfather... engineer, manager.... Many years of photography, all the way back to film and "wet" darkroom inn the mid 70's. I've dabbled in several areas (including microstock), but am firmly settled into shooting "for myself". I just wish all those years of experience had resulted in some more results!

I have a preference for B&W, nature and decay (anything showing the impermanence of mankind). But I'm not exclusive to anything. I'm a strong believer that the best camera is the one you have with you, and that the creative process doesn't end with pressing the shutter.

I've lived in the middle part of the USA (SW Illinois) for 35+ years, with time previously in Washington DC area, central NC, western PA and West Virginia.

I have a couple of blogs:

In the word's of A.A. Milne's Eeyore: “It’s not much of a tail, but I’m sort of attached to it.”"
