"Photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
- Elliott Erwitt

I started here in January 2015 and still plugging along. Not as focused on daily posts. But I love the community, enjoy the challenges, plan to stick around.

I'm a long time serious hobbyist. I've been doing photography for over 40 years, from "wet" b&w darkroom to the digital. I've dabbled in a lot of areas, from my college newspaper to microstock. But mostly just for my own satisfaction (and sanity). I have a preference for B&W, scenics and decay. But I'm not exclusive to anything. And a strong believer that the best camera is the one you have with you.

With a full time job and a family, I don't have as much time to shoot as I'd like. Born in West Virginia, spent my teen years in Pittsburgh, college in North Carolina... My first (real) job was i Washington DC... Hanging out in the middle part of the USA for almost 30 years.

I have a couple of blogs, LSquared goes back to late 2004, and actually existed as an AOL member page before that...
