"I never know in advance what I will photograph,… I’ll go out into the world and hope I will come across something that imperatively interests me. I am addicted to the found object.” - Ansel Adams

April 13, 2022, and I've just renewed my membership for 2022, well into my my 8th year at 365project (I started 1/6/2015). Still enjoying the community, and looking forward to the future. Primary cameras are a Fujifilm X-T3 and a Fujifilm X-T4 (mirrorless), which I love. Also use my iPhone quite a bit, and occasionally a Nikon D3200 for macro.

This spring will mark 40 years as engineer, working in many roles for several companies in the Power System controls field. Thinking hard about retirement. I started photography, back in the mid 1970's.with SLR, film and "wet" darkroom. I've dabbled in several areas over the years (including microstock), but am firmly settled into shooting for myself.

I have a preference for B&W, nature and decay (anything showing the impermanence of mankind). But I'm not exclusive to anything. I'm a strong believer that the best camera is the one you have with you, and that the creative process doesn't end with pressing the shutter.

I've lived in the middle part of the USA (SW Illinois) for over 30 years, with time previously in Washington DC area, central North Carolina, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
