Cool article, I have 4 (hipstamatic, camerabag, adobe phtoshop express, tiltshift) of the ones mentioned plus many ( pano, truehdr, photogene, artcameralite, metabrowser, )others not mentioned. The apps I use the most are photogene for adjusting color and constrast, camerabag , hipstamatic and metabrowser as it gives all the metadata info .

I wanted to start a discussion already about Iphone Photo Apps so I can share my favs!
Photosynth free panorama app, I haven't tried Pano, but I love this one!
Tiny Planets, try with your panorama photos! It's awesome!
Pixlromatic, cool filters
Vintage Camera, a bit like hipstamatic, but this is free.
I include a pic I made with Photosynch and Tiny Planets

Oh and thanks for the article! I'll check it out! :)

The 3GS has an okay cam, the 4 really upped the game and the 4s is superb. I think snapseed is the best editing tool for iPhone and pad. Retouch is a brilliant airbrush-like tool and apps Iike luminance, lens flare, colour splash are great to add a little extra

I've got to say its not just apple who are producing good camera phones; sony's recent white pixel technology will are push camera phones even further in improving low light photography and the new experia range are equipped with 12megapixle cameras

I use:

Hipstamatic, Instagram, Snapseed, Big Lens, Photoshop Express, Pic Stitch, Color Effects, Sneaky Pix, Camera +

@yogibari - I looked for Tiny Planets, but it didn't come up on the apps list. Just TinyWorld. Is that it?

Photoforge has a tiny planet FX within the app.
Phototoaster is awesome as well.

@bigsusan55 Try Tiny Planet without plural. It comes up for me. :)

@yogibari - thanks. Tiny Planet Photos seems to be the right thing. Currently 69p, though it was obviously free at some point. Just 'Tiny Planet' is an "action packed game" ;-)

@bigsusan55 Yes, it was free when I got it. I really like it, but am sure you can find another app which can do it for free. If not, 69p won't break the bank. :) Enjoy!

@yogibari - Yep, 69p is worth paying for an app that others have tried and liked. I've downloaded it, thanks. Will have a play later.
