Photoshop?

What is the easiest photoshop program to buy?
And who has the best price?
I am wanting to start stepping out a little more and do some layers.
Would appreciate your help.
Also, what should I expect to pay and is it wise to buy a used one?

I love Photoshop CS4. I use both it and Lightroom. Photoshop Elements is a good one to start with. Check it out here..

Thank you for the help. It is much appreciated.
And Joe, right now I am using picnik. I couldnt get Gimp to load for me. But I am getting tired of the pics I am doing and want a little more, like using layers more. And learning to do a portrait that actually looks right lol.

If you get photoshop get the full blown version. It may be a little expensive but it is worth it. I bought the elements 8 instead and I regret it. It is a good program but there is just so much more you can do with the full blown version. Yes, you can download it for free if you want to try it out before buying. The trial lasts for 30 days.

I'm still using Photoshop CS! I really must think about upgrading, but I don't really do a lot of whiz, bang and wallop on my photos which is probably why I'm managing okay.

I don't use Photoshop, it's too hard for me D: I generally use Photofiltre Studio X for banners, gifs and blends.

You could try paintnet. it's a free program that supports layers and is similar to photoshop and doesn't crash like gimp. I use Photoshop cs5 and lightroom 2, but they are expensive so paintnet is the next best thing. http://www.getpaint.net/
