Graduation Pictures

I am doing my first photo shoot with people that i am not 100% familiar with. I am shy, which i know is bad for a photographer to be but i am trying my best to better with it.
The people I am doing are a couple and they will have their dress/suit on. So i need poses and ideas for them. I have a few in mind but i would much rather have plenty of ideas and shots rather then a few. Then feel awkward because i don't know what to do next. I will also ask for their input for ideas but i need my own as well. Thanks for the help
