Panasonic Lumix FZ30 help

August 28th, 2010
Ok, I am very new and I have a panasonic lumix DMC-FZ30PP. I have a birthday in a month and I want something new for my camera that I as a beginner can get some use out of. I like trying to take extreme close ups but am not very good at it as of yet. My camera does have macro and I am getting better. Soooo,,,,my question is, should I ask hubby for some kind of a zoom or a filter? I would also like to learn to take very soft portraits in the future. Any suggestions? Or any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Lenses are always the best place to first invest when you get a new camera.

Also if you like doing mega closeups you should look at... oh, where is it...

Also for soft portraits there's a filter you can get which has blurred outer edges and a clear middle . Alternatively try shooting with your aperture wide open to blur the foreground and background while keeping your focused subject sharp ^^
