I'm out on a girlie night on Saturday, and would like to be able to get some decent shots whilst we're out.
I'm taking my little Nikon Coolpix rather than the DSLR, any tips on what settings to use to get the best results?

Totally agree. I've taken many a pic with a P&S in the clubs, and they all turn out just fine, even in total darkness.
